The Bastrop 1832 Farmers Market continues to surprise me in the quantity and quality of the fresh vegetables offered every time I go to market. How do these farmers do it? Continue in the face of such hard times and bring such good food to market. Come check it out for yourself. You will be amazed and even grateful for all their hard work. Located inside the Market building at the back of the lot. Plenty of free parking in front of the building. Now open on Fridays from 2:30 to 6 for your midweek shopping needs and on Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm.

Welcome to a fresh look and updated information. Since moving to Bastrop county and taking up cattle ranching, raising chickens and growing herbs for the local farmers market, in 2003, I've been so busy that this site has been neglected. With the new year, I hope to correct this oversight with regular updates.
This site started out as a home for the Travis County Master Gardener Association back in 2002, until they got their own web site (http://www.tcmastergardeners.org/).
Now, this site is now the home of Gardening Naturally in Central Texas -A Compendium of Gardening Information, Tips and Opinions.
