One of the most exciting new programs in Austin is the Green Garden Initiative which integrates the City of Austin's various landscaping programs, resulting in one educational source for environmentally - sound solutions for gardening needs.

The goal of the Green Gardening Initiative is to promote landscaping practices that protect Austin's environment.

Components of the Green Garden Initiative include:

• Building
• Dillo Dirt
• Composting
• Parks and Recreation
• Grow with the Flow
• Integrated Pest Management
